For the 16th straight year, the City of Laurel has been named a Banner City by the Maryland Municipal League.

Banner City designations are awarded for showcasing municipal government and how it works, educating youth about municipal government, taking part in MML programs and activities, and making sure resident’s voices are heard on key issues that concern them.

Mayor Craig Moe has implemented initiatives that have helped the city earn the designation, including City Hall in the Park and the My Time with the Mayor program.
