Baltimore, MD (February 26, 2020) – International businesses are battling with new and recurring challenges, which range from geopolitical and social instabilities, cyber threats and attacks, trade wars, currency fluctuation and tariffs, inflation, as well as unpredictable events like the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus. These risks and challenges pose a threat to the progress and survival of international companies if adequate preparation is not taken.

The Baltimore-Washington Chapter of Global Chamber® and the Thunderbird School of Global Management are sponsoring a timely seminar on how international companies can manage and mitigate these global risks.

According to Mi Jeong Hibbitts, Executive Director of the Global Chamber® BWI, “the seminar  is specially designed for any company that is involved with global trade including import, export, maintenance or support of global operations, and concerned with protecting their business from global risks”. This is an opportunity to learn from global risk experts, Thunderbird faculty, and experienced exporters on how to successfully manage and mitigate the effects of global risks on your business.

This seminar is scheduled to be held on April 9, 2020, at the world-leading Thunderbird School of Global Management (ASU), 1800 I Street N.W., Washington D.C., 20006 from Noon to 2:30 pm, with networking time to follow immediately. The cost is $30.00 for members and $45.00 for non-members, which includes lunch. For more information or to register for the event, please visit www.globalchamber.org/managingrisks

The seminar also will be offered as a worldwide “Globinar” for those who are unable to attend in person. For more information or inquiries, please contact Mi Jeong Hibbitts at [email protected] or 443.472.1318.
