To commemorate the beginning of Maryland Manufacturing Month, the Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MD MEP) will host the inaugural Maryland Manufacturing Innovation Conference on Thursday, October 3. Taking place from 7:30am-4pm at the BWI Airport Marriott (1743 W Nursery Rd, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090), the conference will feature keynote speakers, workshops, case studies and educational opportunities showcasing the latest technologies, trends and best practices in manufacturing.

Targeting Maryland manufacturing executives and individuals in leadership roles in operations, sales, human resources, finance and accounting, logistics and supply chain, the Maryland Manufacturing Innovation 2019 agenda will feature four tracks:

  • Growth – a strategic approach to achieve business growth
  • People – tools and methods to develop your workforce
  • Technology – investing in advanced manufacturing and technology
  • Process – how different industries are achieving operational excellence

The morning keynote speaker will be Bryan Offutt, President of Offutt Outdoors and former Vice President of Global Brand Marketing for Under Armour’s Outdoor and Run categories. Known as an unconventional thinker and bold decision maker with in-depth sales management and marketing expertise, Bryan thrives on building and motivating teams to craft, execute and disrupt the market space, while staying focused on improving consumers’ lives in big and small ways. Bryan specializes in millennial and co-gender brands and turning slumping business categories into successes.
