Kingdom Kare, of Odenton, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of its new Family Support Center, which is located at 1350 Blair Drive. The new center will provide prevention-oriented programs such as teen parent alternative program, culinary arts, workforce development, English as a Second Language and childcare.

Kingdom Kare’s mission is to create an environment where children, youth and families thrive and focuses on early childhood education, mentoring and entrepreneurship.

It is the home of the nationally accredited Kingdom Kare Childcare Center, which was opened with the support of Sen. Pam Beidle and Del. Sandy Bartlett’s legislative bond bill. Financial support for the center comes from the Anne Arundel County Executive’s office, the Maryland Family Network, the Governor’s Office on Crime Prevention and other area entities.
