Like the diverse individuals who complete the Leadership program each year, Leadership Howard County is an organization that continually challenges itself to be better. Each year we bring a new energy to our programs for class participants and graduates with the goal of informing, inspiring and challenging each person to become engaged in community service.
Only halfway through the program, the Class of 2015 is already forging new connections with nonprofit organizations, pursing projects that will make a real and profound difference in the life of our community. It has been inspiring to see each class emerge from their Leadership experience with fresh ideas and energy to make a difference.
As we get ready to celebrate our 30th anniversary, I look forward to sharing the success stories of our members and how they have made an impact on the community. As the Class of 2016 begins this September, we will look back on the history of how community leaders built a vision for the future and celebrate all that our members have accomplished.
Going forward, we have a bright and exciting future ahead as class members complete the program, connect with the growing Leadership network and build a legacy of community leadership. Our goal is to create a sustainable organization that continues to serve the needs of Howard County. Our core purpose is to create a better community, and our graduates — who represent all sectors of the community — are challenged and inspired to make Howard County a better place to live, do business, raise families and envision a brighter future for all.
None of this would be possible without the extraordinary support Leadership Howard County receives from volunteers and the business, government and nonprofit communities. Our board of directors is dedicated to the future of Leadership Howard County, and together, we are committed to reaching out to the wider community, finding the unique places where our leadership will make a difference and ensuring our organization stays true to its mission, vision and values.
Finally, we are very grateful to our many sponsors and donors who provide the critical funds needed to support our programs. Thank you for your tremendous efforts and contributions.
We look forward to seeing each and every one of you at one of our alumni events or as a participant in one of our programs.
