Partnership Announces Pecoraro to Replace Greene

Greg Pecoraro has been appointed as the BWI Business Partnership’s new executive director, succeeding the retired Linda Greene. The selection was made after an extensive regional search and selection process led by the board of directors.

Pecoraro’s résumé includes more than 25 years of government relations and nonprofit management in the aviation and transportation sectors. He has served as vice president of government affairs for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and as assistant secretary for administration at the Maryland Department of Transportation, as well as other key executive positions in the private and public sectors. He also has served multiple terms as a member of the city council in Westminster, where he resides.

CVB Announces 2016 Board of Directors

The Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Conference & Visitors Bureau’s (CVB) Board of Directors recently voted in its new slate of officers for fiscal 2016. Serving in the new year will be CVB Board Chairman Erin McNaboe, Rams Head Group; Vice Chairman Carol Benson, Four Rivers: The Heritage Area of Annapolis, London Town & South County; Treasurer Robert Clark, Historic Annapolis Inc.; Secretary Eric Ruden, Naval Academy Athletic Association; and Immediate Past Chairman Anthony Clarke, Irish Restaurant Co.

AACC Board Welcomes New Members, Changes Officers

Anne Arundel Community College’s (AACC) Board of Trustees has elected a new chair and vice chair, and is welcoming two new members who were appointed by Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan. They are Art Ebersberger, who served as vice chair last year and will return to the chairmanship; and the Rev. Dr. Diane Dixon-Proctor, who was chair during the 2014–15 year and will become vice chair; she also served as vice chair from 2012–14.

New to the board are Sandra Moore, of Pasadena; and AACC student member Matthew Hortopan, of Annapolis. Moore was appointed to a six-year term. As a student member, Hortopan serves a one-year term.

CFA Announces New Board Leadership

Columbia Festival of the Arts (CFA) has welcomed new board leadership and staff, including Ron Nicodemus of Nicodemus Communications Group, who will serve as president during fiscal 2015–16; and Tom Coale, of Talkin & Oh, who will serve as vice president.

Also, former CFA Programming Manager Robert Neal Marshall returns to the nonprofit as marketing and communications director and Lisa Yerrid is the new box office manager.

Bay Bank Expands Business, Commercial Services

Columbia-based Bay Bank has expanded its business banking and commercial banking groups to better serve businesses in the Baltimore Washington Corridor with the promotions of Rich Yoskey, Brian Taylor and Bryan LePage. All will serve as relationship managers under the leadership of King Corbett, executive vice president and chief lending officer.

NFL Senior VP McKenna-Doyle to Speak at Loyola

Loyola University Maryland and the Sellinger School of Business and Management will welcome Michelle McKenna-Doyle, senior vice president and chief information officer of the NFL, for The DeFrancis Lecture on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 6:30 p.m. in McGuire Hall on Loyola’s Evergreen campus. She leads the NFL’s technology strategy, shared service delivery and management of the league’s corporate and football technology.

Toby Bozzuto has been named CEO of The Bozzuto Group, of Greenbelt. He has been with the company for more than 14 years and has served as its president since 2013.

TFCU Hires New VP of MarComm

Laurel-based Tower Federal Credit Union (TFCU) has hired Marc Wilensky as its new vice president of communications and brand marketing. Wilensky has 25 years’ retail marketing experience; prior to joining TFCU, he was vice president of marketing for Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union.

CRTC Appoints New Board Member

Jacobs Named President of BHC

Kyri Jacobs was named president of Bonnie Heneson Communications (BHC), a marketing communications firm headquartered in Owings Mills, as founder Bonnie Heneson was named CEO of the firm. Jacobs joined the firm in 1992 and became a partner and executive vice president in 2007, when she opened the firm’s Columbia office.

Lee & Associates Chesapeake Expands

Columbia-based Lee & Associates Chesapeake has hired James Cumber as an associate. Cumber joins the firm with a focus on office development. He was employed by the firm for nine years at Hardings in Windsor, England, where he was recognized as the youngest member to be promoted to sales manager.

Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business and Management named Bob Cawley chair of the board of sponsors. Cawley is president of the insurance advisory firm RCM&D and is an alumnus of Loyola.

Loyola’s Johnson Receives Abramson Award

Mark Johnson, assistant professor of finance at Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business and Management, received the 2015 Adolph G. Abramson Award from the National Association for Business Economics for an article he co-authored on financial literacy. Johnson and co-author Douglas Lamdin, professor of economics at UMBC, are the only two scholars in the country honored with the award.

Purple Cherry Adds Senior Studio Director

CFHoCo Appoints Five to Board

Gramil Recipient of Leaders in Banking Award

Lewis Rejoins CCA
