The Business Monthly notes with sadness the passing of Ronald Neal Lachman, of Woodstock, who opened and operated The Butcher Shop, one of Columbia’s first businesses.
Mr. Lachman passed away on Saturday, Oct. 14, at the age of 89. His butcher shop, located in Wilde Lake Village Green as the Village Center was known in its early days, closed in the 1980s.
